That I was on recently and that it's based out of Nashville but it's a national show. I got to perform. Another jingle. That I wrote for their show on television and that was terrifying but so fun in the end. It ended up being a blast. What inspired. You to write. This jingle and you know was. It frustration of job hunting or what was kind of an in spa there well there was. One particular job. That I was really interested in and I applied and they got back to me but they got back to me basically to tell. That they were gonna keep my resume on file and if. Anything were to pop up. That they would reference but for now. They weren't hiring so.

I like out of frustration was like uh. I just wish. That people could sort of see who I was without having to just look at a boring piece of paper and that's sort of what inspired. Me it was like. I didn't get. This position. That I was really interested in and I was at Union Station in downtown Denver with my roommate. I was just like oh my gosh I'm gonna write a song about my resume and it's gonna be goofy and she was like you're crazy but sure go for it and it took. Me lirik was like 20 minutes to write the read to write the whole thing because. I was so just fired up about it. That led to like the melody part and it really took.

Me it took me like a day and a half to officially like complete. It and release. It was super fast what's your musical background I've been playing the piano since. I was three it's so like not in school but a lot of like my hobbies have kind of revolved around music. I did musical theater for a tiny bit in high school but I was always like the background choir chick. I was in an acapella group in college which was a blast so I've definitely had like singing and piano sort of in and out of my life since. I was a little kid and then songwriting is that a part of your life as well. I guess I've been songwriting for a while I've been in a couple bands but the resume song kind of spurred people to ask. I write jingles or songs for companies or brands and now I'm sort of side hustling a little jingle writing stuff. While I'm I'm sort of pursuing my my career so that's so so cool and I'm humbled.

That people actually like. What I did so the goal of all this I would assume is to get a job of course and so let's talk about your job search. What are you hoping to do. I actually have an environmental science degree from my University University of Denver represented but I wanted to do. Something a little bit different from. That degree like. I had already done like two and a half years before. I realized that I was a little. More talkative and people oriented a lot of the jobs. That environmental science would bring to my doorstep so. I put in my two weeks notice for my current job my part-time job. Because this jingle and content creation thing that I'm doing and it's it's sort of like my own business so it's it's so cool and I feel like.

I can support myself with. It right now Wow crazy. Because the resume song was intended to get. Me a legitimate professional like job and I don't have. Yet I'm still applying for for jobs and talking to people. I just I'm looking for something to be faced. If like I want to have face-to-face connection and communication with people those are like my biggest like that's basically like at the forefront of what I want in a job job and what would. You say you've learned about job hunting from this whole experience man well. If there's one thing I've learned. I think there's this weird reluctance to get creative with.

You can reach out to people and get attention from employers and recruiters and stuff and I want people. I think to recognize. You do have a cool. Something cool about yourself. That you can use to convey. How creative or like. How fitting you would be for a position there's no harm in doing it in addition to like the traditional route. I think it's good to put your creativity into. It or your skills into. It and however like way. You can finally today I'm gonna let. You share with listeners. They can connect with. You online where can. They find your video and that sort of thing where where are. You on social media. You can follow. Me on YouTube. I have a YouTube channel but it's very like basic. I don't have a ton of stuff on it.

Yet but I've had interviews and songs. That I've written for like news outlets on there which is really cool and that Pickler and Ben interview. You can also follow. Me on LinkedIn that's kind of like. Where I'm mostly that's where you'll find me most of the time like Twitter and Instagram as well my Twitter is just at page Kemna and my Instagram which I'm on all the time. More like a personal thing but it's really fun. I liked stories and keep up and Oh Oh goofy sings sometimes but it's at paj a why underscore K and that is where. You can find me I want to wish. You all the best with your job hunt and congrats on the success with. This hire me song and page Kim - thanks so much for being on wit from wit radio thank you so much this is a blast. I think you I hope. You enjoy or battery up employee. This girl and her strong but silly theme. Thank you and I hope. You can see. All right and before.

Anything that you said and then thirdly. I always recommend asking the question of if there. Anything else. That I could cover for you. That would help. You understand better. I would be able to be a good fit for this role and that will let. You know if you've missed. Something and gives. You a last opportunity to close to basically say hey. That means that you're bringing the end for a face-to-face. I also recommend asking about next steps so. That you are not following up prematurely but you know what the expectation is for consider continue into the next stage and what if. You don't get an interview ahead of time and just get kind of called out of the blue should. You take the interview right on the spot. You feel like you're prepared or should. You take a minute and reschedule no. I would never allow. Anyone to catch. You impromptu for a phone screen. You up for failure. It shows a lack of planning on the recruiters side. If they ask to do. It and you feel like...
